Belgian made Browning Hi Power Safari rifle in 300 Win Mag.
Olympian Grade
Carved walnut stock
Engraved receiver, bottom plate and trigger guard.
Elk, Moose and Bear engraved by J. Lewanczyk
Mountain Lion on trigger guard initialed FM
24" stepped barrel.
Carl Zeiss 1.5-6 power scope with quick release base.
Rifle has been used and stock shows scuffs, scratches and dents.
Bore is clean and shiny.
Serial number was added to bolt.
The reatining bar for the bolt release shows a slight bend (review photos)
History: Grip cap is initialed 'WMS'. Customer that brought this rifle to us indicated that it was purchased from the original owner Walter Marty Schirra.
Schirra was one of the original 7 astronauts in the Mercury project and went on to participate in the Gemini and Apollo missions. This seems to be plausible
as the customer that brought in the rifle resides in La Jolla, Ca and Walter Schirra passed away in 2007 in La Jolla, Ca. No official documents were included that
would attest to this claim.
