"Serial number 8096. Made in 1865. 44 Rf caliber with a 24" barrel. This is a nice sharp gun with a smooth dark brown patina on the metal. The brass is very good with one minor scratch on the left hand side of the frame. The wood is very good. There is a small repair on the left hand side of the stock where the sling swivel was removed and filled. It is almost undetectable. The barrel also had the sling swivel removed. This gun is all matching. This gun still falls in the civil war range as it was made in early 1865. Very fine example of a Henry Rifle!
