Description:
For sale, one Springfield 1903 NRA Sporter rifle, probably from Griffen & Howe, serial #1231918. This rifle has an original NRA Sporter stock with hand checkering and custom grip cap. The stock mark shows a "P" turned into a "B". The barreled action is 1922 to 1923. Barrel crown shows guaged barrel star. This firearm wears a period correct Lyman 48 series peep sight. This rifle is in good condition, with some scratches and dents in the wood from years of use. The metal is in good condition, was manufactured during the double heat treat era and shows some minor patina visible on the butt plate (refer to photographs).
This gun is a beautiful representation of a Springfield 1903 NRA Sporter. I will consider reasonable offers and am willing to discuss this firearm with any potential purchasers. Price is $1600 with $80.00 Shipping and handling.
