This 1935-dated revolver has matching numbers on the frame, cylinder, and barrel with the metal retaining about 92-95% of the original blue finish that has mild silvering along the high edges and projections, as well as some mild freckling, mostly along the barrel and cylinder, as well as a single small spot of surface oxidation at the front of the topstrap. The markings are crisp and clear, including the post-war Birmingham commercial proofs, and the large Royal Air Force "R.A.F." stamp on the right side of the frame below the cylinder. The checkered, Broad Arrow-marked walnut grips are in very good shape with numerous minor handling marks and flattening of the points on both sides. A painted rack number is present on the butt: "32". The action lock-up is tight and fully functional, and this is an excellent example of a pre-war, Battle of Britain-used No. 2 revolver.
