"Collector grade" and rarely seen is this 1914 Savage Montreal Home Guard musket (serial # 165115), rack number 420, with 26" barrel, 303 Savage caliber, remaining in excellent condition. This particular MHG musket was shipped in late December of 1914 and it shows to be autographed, on the top of the stock near the butt plate, by the guardsman that received it, with a last name of Notman. Wm Notman, pictured with his son, is shown in a photograph of his unit in the Montreal Home Guard, taken from the McCord Museum.
