Made in the 1870s at 128 Union Street Aberdeen Scotland. 30 “ Damascus barrel , 2 ½” chambers Black powder proof , .733 bores have light surface oxidation , with good wall thickness R ;029 L ; 030. Most proper to shoot Modern RST lite nitro loads, chokes are cyl & cyl. Soldering is very good and the browning and contrast are in 90% condition. Bar action locks with rebounding hammers, tight on face and with a nice deep scroll engraving coverage. Wood is solid with modern dimensions; LOP 14 ¾” over a 1” leather covered pad , drop 1 ½’ & 2 3/16” cast off 7/16” .
It will serve its purpose today, as well as it did 150 years ago …
