Description:
This collection was acquired by the US Repeating Arms Company in 1980. Document with serial number identifying the gun and giving the history of the collection accompanies this gun. This is a model 40 deluxe skeet semi-auto shotgun with a Cutts compensator choke tube. Deluxe fancy checkered wood has extra finish. George Madis in the Winchester Handbook states there were only 37 of these Manufactured. I have only just recently seen one other. This gun is in excellent condition with most bright glossy blue remaining. On the side of the stock is a tag that says "W556" indicating it was in the Winchester Collection. Gun is excellent inside and out.
