Description:
"Mexican Double Loop" Pattern Holster for a 4 3/4 or 5 1/2 inch barreled Colt Single Action Army revolver. Original vintage Holster circa 1880 to1910. A civilian holster from the Old West era. This classic holster has a floral tooled pouch that is laced closed on the main seam and around the toe. The holster has no catalog numbers, which makes me think it was bench made by a skilled Saddler, in a frontier saddle shop (NOTE the saddle makers stamping tools have been used). Made of medium weight dark oiled leather. This holster could be worn as right hand draw or cross draw. The leather is soft and pliable. It would be perfect for displaying with your original vintage Colt or most other frontier revolvers of the era. All the areas are strong and intact showing no cracking, tears, breaks or scuffs. A nice, holster hard to find in this good condition. Nice for the collector to show off his vintage Colt six gun. It is a perfect fit for this 5 1/2 inch barrel Colt SAA. Double loop holsters are rarely found in this good condition. It is ready to give use or display. My shooter and other Props are not included.
