Description:
The Ruger® 77/44 is a fast-handling, hard-hitting Bolt-Action Rifle well suited for hunting deer, bear, and hogs in heavy cover where quick shots are taken at relatively short range. The 77/44 comes equipped with open sights; the front sight is dovetailed into a very secure banded and soldered base, and the rear sight is adjustable for both windage and elevation. Integral scope mounts are machined directly into the receiver, which eliminates any chance of the base loosening under recoil, and stainless steel rings come with the rifle. The 77/44 operates with a 4-shot rotary magazine that fits flush with the stock at the rifle's balance point, aiding in the lightweight rifle's ease of handling. A 3-position safety allows shooter to load and unload the rifle with the safety engaged in the mid position and locks the bolt solidly when the safety is all the way to the rear. With its stainless steel barrel and receiver, the 77/44 endures the worst weather conditions. The Ruger 77/44 Bolt-Action Rifle, with its 18 inch barrel, shoots the proven 44 magnum cartridge approximately 200-400 fps faster than a revolver, making it adequate for most any big game in North America.
