Description:
Colt Frontier Six Shooter revolver chambered in .44 WCF (.44-40 Winchester). Introduced in 1877, the Frontier Six Shooter model was chambered in .44-40 Winchester and marketed to compliment the Winchester Model 1873 rifle. The serial number (231598) indicates that the revolver was manufactured in 1902. Features include a 4-3/4 inch blued barrel and color casehardened frame with antique ivory grips. In overall good condition, the revolver has wear one would expect from a firearm of this age that has not been refinished. Comes with a Colt factory letter indicating that the revolver was shipped to Norvell, Shapleigh Hardware in St. Louis, Missouri on 30 August 1902. .44-40 Winchester
