If you are looking to acquire all the variations of the Model 1890, this would be a good candidate for the parts cleanup variety.
I note on this very late 1890 Winchester serial number is 802741 making it a true "parts clean up rifle " meaning this number means " These guns WERE assembled by Winchester. In 1933, from Feb. to June, leftover parts were used to make up these guns. Some were assembled this way as late as 1941. These ARE true Winchester assembled guns."
