Description:
FOR SALE, one pre-'64 Winchester Model 70 bolt action target rifle, serial #467317. This rifle started life as a .243 and was fitted with a heavy Shilen target barrel in 1983. The current barrel has approximately 300 to 400 rounds fired through it. The barrel is free floating and the action is glass bedded. This firearm has a great trigger that has been polished. This unique firearm comes wearing target bases, with a complete set of Redfield International Match front and rear open sights with Vard aperture and instructions. Included in this sale is a magnifier and full set of colored lenses. Also included is a J. Unertl Vulcan 10x A.O. fine cross hair target optic compatible with the noted bases. I will also include a Brownell Competitor Plus sling with this sale.
The wood on this gun is in good condition, however, there are some minor marks consistent with its age and frequent use (refer to photographs). The metal is in good condition, with no visible rust, and the steel butt plate is in good condition. This rifle is truly a marvel to shoot, either off the bench or in the field.
This is a beautiful pre-64 Winchester Model 70 with a history of sub MOA shooting. This gun has many prarie dogs and coyotes to its name. I will consider reasonbale offers and am willing to discuss this firearm with any potential purchasers. Item is listed at $3400 with $100 shipping and handling.
