Description:
French flintlock Holster Pistol made by early French gun maker Andres Connet, c.1770’s 8 and 3/4”, .60 cal. round steel barrel, brass fittings. Stock is carved ornately behind the tang. Brass Trigger guard has a wheat sheaf in front of the trigger guard. Brass butt cap with long brass stirrups coming up the sides of the grips, , 14.5” overall length in good working order, locks up well on full and half cock. Metal is clean with clear makers name only some slight corrosion. Stock has a contemporary repair at the front of the stock where a small piece of wood has been replaced Early style lock & hammer. an ornate French flintlock example from American Revolutionary War era.
