Description:
AYA Augusta O/U shotgun in 12 gauge. This shotgun has 2 3/4-inch chambers. The serial number is 462085 and it was manufactured in 1977. This very attractive gun has 28" demi-bloc barrels with matted ventilated rib. The maker's name is on both sides of the top barrel. The breech area is engraved with 1 1/2-inch triangles of very deeply relief carved scroll. The matching scroll is on ejector housings. The bottoms of barrels are stamped with AYA logo, serial number, and Spanish nitro proofs. It has a coin finished O/U side lock action with dual locking lugs and no top fastener. The action features automatic safety, hand detachable sidelocks with gold plated internals, gold line tumbler end cocking indicators, and single nonselective trigger. The action, lock plates and trigger guard are deep relief engraved with very attractive open shaded scroll within geometric borders. The background has been darkened to show off the scroll dramatically. The maker's name is on an arched band on the bottom of the action. The straight grip buttstock of stump figured European walnut measures 14 5/8" over checkered wood butt. Point pattern checkering is on diamond hand. Matching three-piece ejector forend has Anson release. The weight is 8 lb. 3 oz. The condition is excellent and is very close to "as new" with only the most minute marks in metal finishes and some scattered light scratches in the wood, with a sharp compression in checkering on the right side of forend. The bores are bright and shiny. 12 Gauge
