SOLD SALE PENDING Offering for sale my Savage 1899 22 Hi Power takedown rifle, 20" barrel, set up with a no-drill Stith 1" scope mount, sporting a ( period ) 1" Weaver fixed 2.5 power steel scope. Fine cross hairs with center Dot ridicule. Just like the old days, still has some case colors on lever. counter works, slight curve steel butt plate with Chief logo. All original , no doctoring up on this ole gal.no crack's or damage just normal wear. sn 222561 dates her to 1920, lack's the transition screw on left side of forearm so should make it a model F but after sn 220+++ they can be either way meaning a model H, either the 1/4 turn thread or the seven turn barrel thread on the takedown. I'm not about to remove scope or butt stock to check the threads , I do know the numbers match. You's can hash it out , she has a bright shiny bore.
I've a couple Hi Powers yet and have owned several over the years. All I know is they set the shooting world on its heels back in 1912 when it made it's debut, 2800 fps ! Can you imagine.
