Description:
An English 16 gauge full side lock double made by J. Tolley of Birmingham around 1900. This is a light, delicate, 5 pound and 10 ounce example, probably made for a lady or smaller man. The 28 inch barrels are marked "THE TIMES GUN" with the makers address. It has cocking indicators on the locks, and a third bite ( on bbl. extension) locking system. The chambers are 2-9/16" long, and the barrels are choked .006" right and .023" left. The barrels are tight on the action and the action functions as new. LOP is 13-1/4", with drop at comb of 1-1/2", and at heel 2-1/2". The bluing and stock finishes are original, and in fine condition. Please see the photos to determine condition.
