Description:
Serial #1242, .22 LR, 5" barrel with an excellent, bright bore. This is a 1931-made pistol that has practically all of the original bright commercial blue finish remaining, with only some very mild silvering present on the mainspring housing checkering points betraying any finish loss. The checkered walnut grips are likewise in excellent shape with virtually no handling marks or flattening of the points. The pistol is housed in a 1930s era Graham Courtney Ambassadors cigar box that has had a period added black paint finish on the exterior, and a skillfully executed black velvet-lined interior added. There are compartments for the pistol, a box of .22 cartridges, and a spare magazine. Two original Colt two-tone magazines are included. This is an absolutely superb Commercial Model Ace, that retains almost all of the original finish, and would make a stellar addition to any collection. FFL or C&R
