Presented for consideration is a very nice Ruger Old Model Vaquero single action in .44-40 caliber. This fine Ruger was made in 1995 before Ruger trimmed the Vaquero down to the proportions of the Colt SAA. The old Vaquero and 3 screw Blackhawks can withstand higher pressures than the new models that were introduced in 2005. This particular example has case color, walnut grips and a 4 5/8" barrel that has a very minty bore with very strong rifling. It appears to have had very few rounds put through it since it left the factory. The action is quite smooth and sure. The walnut grips have the Ruger medallion on each side and are free of cracks, chips or dents. The case color is quite vibrant and strong. Minimal turn rings on the 6 shot cylinder. This fine Vaquero would make a great addition to a collection or an excellent strong frame shooter.
