Very nice Winchester 1873 serial number 31460, manufactured in 1879 in caliber 44-40. Rifle has highly sought after rectangular thumbprint dust cover. Octagon barrel in great condition with a nice brown plum patina, bore and rifling is bright and shiny, dovetail front sight and elevation adjustable notch rear sight, two line address/patent markings on barrel, hand engraved serial number on the lower tang, "Model 1873" is in script on the upper tang. Some bluing noticed along with case hardening visible on hammer and side plate. Action is smooth functions nicely. Furniture is in good condition with fantastic metal to wood fit. $6600 + actual shipping costs with insurance to FFL of your choice.
