Description:
Used Winchester model 1897, s/n 986xxx. Made in about 1953, 12ga, 30-inch barrel, full choke, bore bright and shiny. See photographs. Some loss of finish on magazine tube; a bit of loss of finish at muzzle, minor edgewear. No freckling or pitting. Original Winchester buttplate. Overall a very nice example of the takedown version of the model 97. The photographs should be viewed on a monitor that has good resolution. Happy to provide higher resolution photos or answer questions.

I use a local gun shop as transfer agent and they ship the item to the FFL dealer that you designate. Signed and dated copy of FFL is required. Payment is due within 7 days of purchase. The buyer will receive an invoice with payment instructions. Money orders, USPS money orders, cashier’s checks, certified checks and personal checks accepted. Expect a 7-day delay if paying by personal check. Sorry, not feasible to ship directly to a C&R licensee.
Shipping: the gun will be taken down so that it fits into a 32-inch long box. $65.00 shipping by USPS Ground Advantage. Shipped signature-required with tracking and insured for the full sale price.
Standard Return Policy: 3-day return privilege; costs related to listing, shipping, packaging and transfer are not refundable if the firearm is returned. Different terms of sale can be negotiated.
