SER #1228629, .30 Carbine, 18‚‚ barrel with a bright excellent bore. Arsenal parkerized surfaces rate very good plus at approximately 97%. A couple patches of surface oxidation on the left side of the receiver, and a speck of oxidation on the barrel obscured by the handguard. Additional handling blemishes throughout and some striations atop the barrel from moving the barrel band. Bolt is mechanically sound but shows overall fading, most pronounced at friction points. Barrel, trigger housing, bolt catch, and hammer are all very good, wood stock rates excellent and shows only scattered handling marks and few small dings that have been smoothed with time. The right side of the buttstock is stamped ‚‚ and the ordnance wheel beside it is partially visible; four rivet handguard has no visible markings. The buttplate shows modest oxidation around the periphery, and exhibits some play when fully seated. Includes one 15 round magazine, showing overall fading and some oxidation on the baseplate. Overall a nicely rebuilt 1943 example from Winchester in Korean war configuration.
