Description:
This is a percussion shotgun with 28 inch barrels. The bores are surprisingly nice. Bright and shiny. No pitting but some light roughness. Overall the bores are VG+. Exterior of the barrels are mostly a grey patina with good markings on the rib. The wood is also VG. Nice fitting lock plates. The delicate wood around the upper tang is all in tact. Checkering still remains but worn down somewhat. Entire pattern is visible. Ram rod included. It looks old but is most likely a period replacement ramrod. Nice trigger springs. Functions just fine. This gun weighs in at 11-1/2 pounds which isn't as ridiculous as some of these big guns. At least you can carry this one! Nice shot gun and a very good conversation piece.
