A Very Early Civil War Percussion Colt Model 1849 Pocket Revolver With A 6 Inch Barrel In Excellent Untouched Condition. Serial #88,570, All matching numbers including the wedge. Made in 1854, all original & complete. The revolver has excellent metal, markings, and edges. It has a full and very clear cylinder scene. The barrel has a two line New York City Address. The barrel on the gun retains nearly all of its original early factory blue. The cylinder has a wonderful natural plum color from the original blue fading and the frame, recoil shoulders, loading lever & hammer retain their early original factory case colors on them. The backstrap and trigger guard are fine throughout and retain about half of their original factory silver. All screws are fine and show their original factory color on them. The original factory grips are excellent throughout and have a nice grain to them. They retain all of their original factory varnish on them. The bore and the action are both excellent. This Is A Very Desirable And Excellent Example Of A Very Early Civil War Percussion Colt Model 1849 Pocket Revolver With A 6 Inch Barrel On It!
