Description:
Near mint Model 70 in powerful .338 which has had the barrelled action professionally glass bedded for accuracy enhancement, or perhaps to stabilize against potential cracks. There have never been any cracks in this wood either before or after the bedding. The rifle's overall condition is outstanding, showing 98% original finishes on both wood and metal. Factory issued ventilated recoil pad. (All 338s had pads). 25" Barrel. The bore and mechanical functions appear flawless. S/N 459*** with matching scribed bolt indicates 1959 production. A great looking and fairly priced rifle that will withstand the rigors of hunting use if so desired.
