Description:
Built in 1935 this Smith & Wesson .38/44 Heavy Duty is equipped with a 5” barrel, original bright blue finish and checkered silver medallion Circassian walnut service grips. This pre-war Heavy Duty remains in excellent overall condition with a mint bore and perfect mechanics. The lockwork in single and double-action is superb like only a pre-war example can be! The gun retains about 97% of the original bright blue finish which shows a little wear at the muzzle ends and two dings, one in the left edge of the trigger guard and a second on one cylinder flute. A really crisp and fine .38/44 Heady Duty!
