U.S. marked 44 caliber 6 shot Second Model Military Model Dragoon with New York address on the 7-1/2 inch part round barrel. 10500 serial range. All matching numbers including the wedge. Nice functioning action. Good traces of cylinder scene still visible. Also has the "MS" markings on the front portion of the trigger guard indicating issuance to the Massachusetts Militia. This is a very scarce gun with only about 2700 of these Second Models manufactured. A lot less of this Model than the 1st and 3rd Models. The grips appear to be an excellent replacement. Nice fitting. Overall metal is a light nickel color with scattered light pits. This is still an attractive desirable old Colt.
