Offered is an 1873 Model Winchester Lever Action Third model Rifle in 32-20 caliber. This very nice '73' has a 24" octagon barrel with a full length magazine (13 rounds). The serial number (277355 B) shows a manufacturing date of 1888 and places it in the "Antique" catagory. The rifle retains nearly 90% of its redone blued metal surfaces and refinished wood butt stock and forend. The bore has strong rifling with no pitting and a dark surface.
This gun is in near perfect mechanically condition and retains all of its original parts and pieces. The 32-20 caliber is very popular for Coyboy Action shooting and general small game hunting.
