Description:
Ofered is a unique Colt model 1878 SxS Hammer 12 gauge shotgun. This gun has 18" Damascus barrels in 12 sgauge. The gun was designed to shoot black powder only. The gun is equipted with double triggers, full sideplastes, case hardeded breech, extractors, a semi pistol grip stock and a steel butt plate. Both the stock and forend are hand checkered walnut. The bores are moderately darkened, but show no corrosion or pitting.
The gun is in very good condition with no rust or pitting to the metal surfaces and only very minor dents to the wood stock and forend.
This is an excellent Cowboy Shooting gun or something special for a Colt Collection.
