SN:6717/K4842, circa 1890's, .38 colt, with a 6"" barrel. No serial number is noted on the butt strap, assembly numbers are matching. The number under the barrel is ""K4842"". Metal is a dark patina with scattered surface oxidation noted, bore is good strong rifling noted. Left side of frame is marked ""RAC"" , Carr was a U.S. Military inspector. Wooden grips have a heavy coat of varnish applied with nicks, dings and scratches noted. Action indexes properly, light play noted in cylinder.
