This is the super rare Winchester 52E in Standard Barrel configuration. As best I know there are only a handful of these that are known to exist. The experts on rimfire central can attest to this. This particular rifle is in excellent condition and shows minimal usage. There are a few marks on the wood. The metal is excellent and the underside rail looks near new. Scope blocks were removed by a previous user and the newer receiver mounted blocks probably held a modern scope. I have no information beyond my speculation. The round tapered standard weight barrel has all the proper markings of an E dated receiver so I am confident this is an original standard weight Winchester 52E. The receiver is serial #E124085. The rifle has all of the latter 52E features: micro motion trigger, flat bolt handle, rounded receiver front and back, and Circle R on the barrel. The muzzle on the standard barrel is flat as expected on such a sized barrel.

I've removed the bases shown on the receiver and put in fillers for the holes. I've also installed correct "L" and "B" bases on the barrel to accept Unertl scopes.
