SOLD PENDING FUNDS
Fratelli Rizzini Extra Lusso 20 gauge SxS shotgun, built in 1976. Serial number 1434. This shotgun built five years after Guido and Amelio Rizzini set out to build the finest SxS shotguns available. This is NOT an earlier Zoli-Rizzini gun. Shotgun built for Abercrombie and Fitch, sole distributors in the United States. One of the best of the very best.
This shotgun remains in excellent condition, and shows little wear from its very limited usage. Beautiful case coloring coverage, including the trigger. Impressive deep chisel engraving throughout. Straight (English style) grip. Blank gold monogram disc in stock. Filligree top lever. Equipped with small beavertail fore-end, single trigger, and checkered stock butt. Dimensions as follows - DAC - 1 1/2 in, DAH - 2 1/4 in, LOP - 14 7/16 in, Cast - none. Barrel length - 27 5/8 in, Chokes - .006 (R), .012 (L), Bores .630 (R), .631 (L), MinWallTh - .048 (R), .049 (L), Chamber - 3 inch. Shotgun is provided in leather trimmed Negrini case. Locks up tight and balances perfectly on hinge pin. Gun built to handle 3 inch shells with solid chambers and exceptional MWT. Unusual configuration in that it sports 70 cm (27 5/8 in) barrels, when so many of the shotguns built during this period were equipped with 26 inch barrels.
Stock exhibits a few slight marks from use, but remains in excellent condition after almost a half century of life. The fore-end left side has a very small dent and appears to have an older repair (see picture provided); repair difficult to see. Barrels in excellent condition inside and out. Tapered hand cross-filed rib leading to single bead. Barrels capable of meeting any type shot requirement in the future.
