Description:
This desirable Cold War Grey Battleworn semi-automatic rifle is a Black Rain Ordnance Fallout15 chambered in .223 Wylde. This is the "FAT" version. This is the high-end AR-type direct impingement semi-automatic rifle that is built around a 16" 4150 Chromoly barrel, 12" handguard and MFT Minimalist Stock. Overall length is 32.5." Black Rain uses a tough forged 7075 T6 Aluminum Upper Receiver mated to a FALLOUT15 billet 7075 T6 Aluminum Lower Receiver. This good-looking, durable find is crested by a MIL-STD-1913 Picatinny rail and uses BRO's SPEC15 BCG (bolt carrier group) that has a salt nitride bath coating. This "FAT" model handguard is 1.75" wide inside, has 6 QD accessory points, and has integrated machined MIL-STD-1913 Picatinny rails along the top accompanied by short 4-slot Picatinny rails on both front flanks in front. Keeping weight down is a clever design with some of the top Picatinny rail slots in front, some in back and none in the middle. The rear slots integrate nicely with the Picatinny rail atop the upper receiver. The trigger guard's convex ventral surface is gloved finger-friendly. It fits neatly between the flared magwell in front of it and the GI grip behind. Inside is a standard curved MIL-SPEC GI trigger. It has little play and breaks cleanly. The grip has texturing on the sides and vertical grip serrations in back. This rifle is in excellent condition.
