Description:
This BYF Model Mauser 98K "Sniper Rifle" is a right hand bolt action rifle in 8x57mm Cal. It has a 24 inch barrel. A raised blade front sight and a numbered adjustable middle sight. It is outfitted with a ZF41/1 Scope. The buttstock is a smooth grip hardwood pistol grip. The forearm is a smooth grip two piece hardwood. Serial Number 39387. It is not, in the true sense of the word a sniper rifle but rather the scope is fitted as an aid to marksmanship. More than 300,000 were produced in this configuration between 1941 and 1945. 8x57mm Mauser
