Description: Nicely refurbished Lebeau-Courally Model 101 chambered in 12 gauge. This is a sidelock ejector heavy game gun. The serial number is 41801 and it was manufactured in 1927. The 28 5/8" dovetailed barrels are fitted with slightly raised concave matted rib that is engraved "Aug. LeBeau-Courally" "a Liege" on top. The barrel flats are stamped with 1957 Belgian nitro proofs for 2 3/4" chambers and "AUG LEBEAU". The bottoms of the barrels are engraved with Whalreyne steel info. The Serial number is deeply stamped on reinforced splinter. The coin finished sidelock action features nonautomatic safety (S inlaid in gold), Purdey type third fastener, bushed strikers, and double triggers (front articulated). The action is engraved with 80% coverage English style rose and scroll. The maker's name is on left lockplate and address is on right. It has scroll engraved trigger guard and serial number on tang. The engraver's signature "M. Hannay" is on trigger plate. It has Fiddle figured and lightly marbled European walnut. The straight grip buttstock is newly made (most likely by the factory) and measures 14 1/4" over checkered wood butt. The stock features drop points and closely spaced checkering with line borders on semi diamond grip. It has matching splinter "Courally patent" ejector and the forend has Anson release.
