This Winchester Carbine M-1, Cal .30 was mfg abt 11/43.It is from the 1st Block of production.
It is to me one of the most rarest of the early ones. The condition is all original w/a high wood buttstock
& 2 hole T-1 handguard - both abt 98%. There are no cracks,dings or dents. The gun bluing is the light
gray parkerizng. The receiver has the flat T2 bolt and the original "Flip Rear Sight" w//the correct block
"S". There are no stake makings. It appears very original & complete. There follows a complete inventory of it's original component parts:
Receiver - T2, Rear Sight - T1 Flip w/Block "S", Barrel - Marked "W" (No Date), Front Sight - T1(UM), Bolt - T2 W/"w", Firing Pin T2 w/"w", Extractor - T2 w/"w", Ejector -T2, Trig Hsg - T3, Trigger - T2 w/"w", Sear - T1 w/"w", Hammer - T3 w/"w", Safety - T3 (UM), Mag Catch - T2A w/"W", Safety Mag Cat Plunger - T2 w/"w", Oper Slide - T2 w/"w', Stock - T2 W/Cartouche "WRA/GHD" w/Cross Cannons,
Hand Guard - T1 w/2-Holes and "W" on the underside, Recoil Plate - T3 w/"w", Recoil Plate Screw - T1,
Barrel Band - T1A (UM), Butt Plate - Early. Bore Meas - "0". The sling, oiler & Magazine are for presentation only & not included. (I may have other Slings, Oilers & Magazine avaiable to purchase).
This Winchester M-1 Carbine should appeal to the more advanced Carbine collectors. I would rate it as
