This is a Smith and Wesson Model 1917 D.A. 45, double action, six-shot revolver chambered in .45 Cal. This is an original, commercial version of the WWI-era .45 Hand Ejector Model 1917. It is believed to have been manufactured in 1919. This revolver has very noticeable wear from age and the bluing has worn off on 80% of it.
