VERY FINE REVOLUTIONARY WAR ERA FRENCH FLINTLOCK BRASS CANNON BARRELLED FLINTLOCK OFFICER’S PISTOL CIRCA 1770’S. 13 ½” o/a with 7” three stage ornately formed and engraved .60 cal. smoothbore cannon barrel. Beautifully engraved bress mounts and full length walnut stock with ornate floral carving about the barrel tang and surrounding all the mounts. The mounts themselves are all beautifully engraved. Brass lock with all the original very delicate engraved lock parts that could only been made by a master gunmaker. All original in every respect and in top untouched condition. Has all the original finish on the wood and barrel and mounts in superb condition. Working order and mint bore. Superior example of the type of pistol that could have been used in the Revolution by a French officer serving with here during the war.
