General Motors - Saginaw S.G. Division U.S. Model M1 Carbine featuring a .30 cal 18” barrel marked SAGINAW S.G. DIV. GENERAL MOTORS, and the letter “P”; “S” two-position flip-up rear sight, Type 1 “UI” barrel band, flat top bolt, push button safety, two-rivet handguard, high wood straight stock, “I” cut stock recess with oiler, a period magazine, and an olive green sling.
The condition is very fine. The rifle retains 90% parkerized finish with wear in the operating rod track and crisp markings in the metal overall. 95% of the original blue finish remains on the bolt. Stock is very fine, with some very light handling marks. Mechanically excellent. Serial #3523849. Manufactured 05/43-02/44.
