Description:
For your consideration, a Winchester model 1894 Limited Edition carbine chambered in .30-30 Winchester. The gilded receiver is deeply relief engraved with a scene of a bear contending with a pair of hounds at left, insets of a cougar menacing a stag at right, and accenting scroll throughout. Per the "AU 77" signature, the work was executed by Master Engraver, Alden George Ulrich, of the renowned Ulrich family of engravers. The checkered furniture is gorgeously figured, and is free from the distracting insets and medallions common to so many other limited editions and commemoratives. A Canadian market exclusive, this piece dates to 1977, and is number 1,401 of 1,500 made. .30-30 Winchester
