Description:
This is a totally restored Colt Woodsman Sport model 22 cal. semi-auto pistol, with the 4 1/2" barrel. This particular piece was built in 1928, which was in the time frame that took the 22 LR standard velocity ammo. This pistol was updated at some point with the high speed mainspring housing, to allow the use of high speed ammo. The use of high speed ammo became standard during 1932 production, and beyond for Woodsman pistols. This Woodsman has the original walnut checkered grips that remain in great shape. The metal has been properly re-blued to a beautiful dark finish, retaining the script in all places except the base of the magazine, where it is light. Bore looks great, and she functions as designed.
