Sharps #1 Creedmoor
Comes with Sharps factory letter stating: "Sharps #1 Creedmoor Made in Hartford Conn. 44 Caliber 2 & 5/8 shell. 34 full octagon barrel, #1 grade, with checkered piston grip. Sept 14th 1875 to H. Harrington of Keeler Bay Vermont. ....etc" I can send more pics and copy of the letter but could only post 15 pics here. Truely a exceptional rifle.
There are some general wear marks on the wood, still has case hardening visible, barrel looks very nice but shows some bluing light on the sharp octagon edges. Overall a very exceptional rifle at 148 years old.
If you are looking for a great addition to your high end collection this is it. A true piece of American History.
