Description:
First Generation Single Action Army revolver manufactured by Colt in 1920. Beautiful 100% coverage hand engraved Texas Cattle Brands in the Cole Agee tradition. Top of barrel is stamped with Colt's single line address, with the left side being marked "45 COLT". Left side of frame bears patent stampings followed by the Rampant Colt logo. Matching numbers are found on the frame, cylinder, grip strap, and butt. Assembly number "249" is present on the rear of the frame as well as on the loading gate. Accompanied by a factory letter indicating shipment as a blue .45 Colt 5 - 1/2" gun sent to Union Hardware & Metal Company, Los Angeles, California, in a shipment of 2 sent February 4th, 1920. Metal components retain the majority of their blue finish, some minor scattered handling and storage marks. Factory stampings are legible. Bore is bright, retaining good rifling throughout. Grips are antique Elephant Ivory. Action works well.
