Description: This 1909 manufactured semi-automatic pistol is a Savage Arms Co. Model 1907 chambered in .32 Caliber. It has fixed front and rear sight, serrated slide, and a 3¾" barrel. The safety selector lever is not marked with "SAFE" or with "FIRE" on the frame, indicating it is an early model. The top of the slide is marked, "MANUFACTURED BY SAVAGE ARMS CO. UTICA, N.Y. U.S.A. PAT. NOV. 21, 1905 CAL 32." It is serial-numbered "3978" on the frame which dates it to 1909 and has a circle R (®) stamped at the front of the frame. This early model has a great hand-worn patina, but does show significant bluing loss throughout with some signs of pitting and erosion, but with minimal signs of rust. The grip panels show considerable hand wear but are in relatively good condition.
