William ford was well known as the the man who bored Greeners winning guns in the 1875 field trials of choke bores vs cylinder bores. With the success of the field trials Ford started building his own guns in the late 1880s. This gun dates to the 1920s when his son AF Ford had took over the business, the address is 15 St. Mary's Row Birmingham.
