Description:
This circa 1894 Double Action revolver is a Colt D.A. 41 chambered in .41 Colt. The top of the barrel is marked "Colt's PT.F.A. MFG. Co. / HARTFORD CT. U.S.A. / PAT. AUG. 5. 84. NOV. 6. 1888." "COLT D.A. 41" is faintly marked on the left side of the barrel and a faint circled Rampant Colt on the left side of the frame. The assembly number (161) matches on the latch, cylinder, frame and crane. It has a half-moon front sight and a grooved rear sight. It is fitted with checkered hard rubber grips with "Colt" in ovals at the top. With the metal surfaces exhibiting a dark mottled patina mixed with a smooth dark patina in and around the protected areas. The left grip has a half inch sized chunk missing at the bottom. Otherwise, the grips are good with a few minor handling marks. .41 Long Colt
