Description:
Smith & Wesson
.44 Double-Action First Model: (New Model Navy No. 3 Revolver)
.44 S&W Russian

5" Barrel
35oz
Mfg. 1881-1913
Hard Rubber Grips. Left grip has been broken and repaired with epoxy.  Right grip has 2 notches filed in it. Both are heavily worn.
Metal is in overall good condition with a brown patina. There are nicks, dents, scratches and areas of corrosion.
The action is fairly smooth when cycled double-action, the hammer is somewhat stiff when cocking it. The cylinder is somewhat out of time, and does not lock up on all of the chambers. Overall it does function better double-action.
Bore is bright with strong rifling and some pitting.
