Offered for sale is a super nice example of the ultra rare Colt 1905. The 1905 is basically the grandfather of the Colt 1911 being the first successful 45 automatic Colts made. With only about 6200 produced this is a scarce pistol. Most show heavy use and are typically browned out and rusty.
This example retains a high percentage of its original high polish blue finish. The grips are excellent. Ordered by the British with a special featured lanyard loop. This example shows what I believe may be British Military ordnance mark in the magazine well. There are other known examples numbered this way.
Truly a rare find in this condtion!
