Here we have an elegant and nimble Merkel 40e side by side shotgun in 20 gauge. The gun features a modified Anson & Deeley system with Greener locking mechanism with double underlug locking. The 28 inch barrels have bright, minty bores and are choked improved cylinder and modified. This gun exhibits only the lightest of handling and use marks. The double triggers have a length of pull of 14 1/2 and 13 1/2 inches. Drop at heel is 2 3/8 inches and 1 1/2 at the comb. This smooth handling gun weighs in at 6lbs 5oz.. The chambers accept 20 gauge shells up to 3 inches in length. The attractive stock has nicely cut checkering and the forend is of the splinter style. This fine Merkel would make a fine upland field gun or addition to a collection of side by side shotguns.
