About Us: Hoss Cannons builds 3 different models of Cannons. We have the " Hoss " It can be built in 1.50 cal to shoot lead or the 1.75 for golf balls & light powder lead loads. The " Little Hoss " is a 1.50" barrel that is made to shoot lead. It will fit through most doors in the average home. Talk about a great display piece !!! The barrel is 72# & the carriage 50#. It can be disassembled into 3 pieces. The barrel, the wheels & the carriage in 5 min's & will fit in the back seat of a car. All the hardware is hand forged. The barrel has a 1/4 "steel liner. Then there's the "Big Hoss" This shoots a 1.75 lead ball at supersonic speeds. It has 1/2 inch steel liner & was built to shoot lead fast. They're built 1 at a time & they can all be customized.

MAJOR PRICE REDUCTION !!!! This is the middle cannon made here at Hoss Cannons. This is " The Hoss" It has a Cast Iron barrel with a 1.50" bore & a 3/8" steel liner that meets cannon club rules. This was built to shoot a 1.5" lead ball weighing 11.6 oz's. I know a lot of people want to shoot golf balls but they don't shoot straight & they ricochet which is very dangerious. Shooting lead is safer !!! It uses a 6mm Timecert bonded into the cast iron fuse hole. The Mag Spark 209 shotgun primer kit is installed. The slam hammer sets it off. You can use a fuse if you prefer. The Hoss has 28" custom built Amish hickory wheels that have bushings bonded in & trued. They are also dished & have the proper cant. The carraige uses the best wood for durability & a harsh enviromment .This makes moving the cannon easy. I have done things the right way. The cannon is built with long rods & nuts, lag bolts & epoxy everywhere. It's built to shoot but it makes a great display piece. It comes with a custom brass mold built for this barrel, 50 lead balls, the ram rod, the worm & the ceramic barrel cleaning tool. I like shooting it at 250 grains & that will give you 28 shots out of 1 pound of !F BLACK POWDER BUT you can go up to 750 grains for a big bang. I have shot this cannon over 200 times.
