About Us: Private hobbyist/collector of mostly pre WW2 military rifles and thinning out our collection. I'm not an FFL so all FFL sales will go through my local shop unless (1) your local and then we can work out something in person OR (2) Your FFL will accept a firearm from a NON FFL. I will not cut corners and will only follow the rules so please don't ask for anything else. I'm open to reasonable offers but don't expect a response if its just silly.
Description:
Nice condition Imperial Japanese Type 38 Arisaka made by the Kokura arsenal. I believe its a 25th series, though there is a lot of dried grease on the rifle that can be seen and it has obscured the series mark. The metal has most of its bluing present, with hardened grease and oil on some areas, incuding on the bolt. The gun functions well and has a nice bore. Stock is very solid, with very little dings and dents from handling.
The Type 38 rifle was first introduced in 1905 and saw service with Japanese in WW1, the various wars with China in the interwar period, and of course in WW2. They saw use by many other contries as well, including China and Imperial Russia! They fire the flat-shooting 6.5x50mmSR Japanese / Arisaka cartridge, and are very hardy and strongly-built rifles.
